Nausori is located at 18o 01’ 42.95’’ South and 178o 31’ 46.24’’ East on the world map and located inland on the North Eastern Side of Viti Levu, 19 kilometers away from the Capital City.
It is a getaway to the outside world via air-link, Northern Tailevu, Naitasiri hinterland and also the Rewa River Delta. The Kings Road which runs alongside it, circumnavigates Viti Levu together with the Queens Highway which is what links the town to the western region.
Nausori Town is located on the boarder of the three provinces Tailevu, Naitasiri and Rewa and serves as their main shopping centre providing essential government and regional services. The Rewa River runs beside the main town centre and in the past this was a major boost to the thriving agricultural community along the delta. However it is also subject to flooding at sporadic intervals. The Rewa River was a major transportation link between Nausori and the villages along the river banks.
Nausori is in the Central Region of Fiji. The Nausori region is divided into 4 wards: Nausori, Davuilevu, Naulu/Nakasi and Wainibuku/Davuilevu Housing. The interesting fact about these wards is that they are somehow located on land which either belongs to Tailevu, Naitasiri or the Rewa Province.
