Weather & Climate

Fiji’s tropical weather is one of the best in the world. The rainy season is from November to April while the dry season is from May to October. However over the years, these weather patterns have slightly changed as heavy rains and unexpected floods pour in the middle of the year.

Nausori sits on the leeward side of Viti Levu and lately has experienced an evolution of different weather patterns. Annual rainfall for Nausori is an average of 2000mm yearly while the higher mountain ranges of Naitasiri receives an average rainfall of up to 6000mm. The rainfall is brief and the temperature ranges from 28oc to 30oC which is not erratic but the severe rainfall does impact the low-lying areas of the Rewa Delta.

Cyclones do affect Nausori, mainly during the wet season. Climatic conditions are often warm and humid depending on the weather patterns which is normally warm during the dry season to very cold in the wet season.
